A Visit with Great Grandma & Grandpa
Erik & Whitney brought Grandpa & Grandma down to
visit while Brian & Kelsi were here for the weekend.
We all enjoyed holding Alleah.
Brooklyn loves her baby sister.
Alleah's Quilt
I got the quilt top put together for Alleah's quilt.
It looks pretty good. I decided, though, to switch out the
green checks for purple ones. I am much
happier with the color scheme now. I saved the green
and white checked blocks for a future project. .
maybe a little boy blanket?
But for now girls rock!

Four New Babies
We have decided to get a new flock of chickens this year, since
we are not getting as many eggs from the older chickens.
We have 4 different types of chicken, but they all should lay brown eggs.
They are so cute and tiny, but they will triple in size in just a few weeks.
Butterflies and Dragonflies
I found a simple quilt pattern online for a crib size quilt.
Megan & I picked out purple and pink fabrics with dragonflies and butterflies.
I started with 2" strips and sewed them side by side.
I cut it into 6 inch squares and rotated them to make a pinwheel pattern.
There will be contrasting blocks of green and white checks.
I'm anxious to see how it all comes together.

The Quilt is Finished!
I put the binding on the quilt today. It turned out really nice.
I hope Brooklyn will enjoy it. I bought fabric for the next one
and I expect it will go faster. . . maybe.
Alleah Nicole is Here
We are so happy to welcome a new precious little one into the family.
Alleah Nicole was born March 6th weighing 8 lbs and 21 inches long.
We love her already!
